Zena and I competed in AKC, USDAA, and NADAC agility, and we earned many titles together along the way. She was my first agility dog, but more than that, she was a first class teacher, companion and friend. Our journey began in a puppy obedience class, where my fascination to teach a dog to sit quickly evolved into the magic of two beings learning from each other. She endured a greal deal as we stumbled along together, but was always willing to work a little harder to get the job done. Zena taught me to listen to her needs, even when they didn't match my own, and to give more of myself for all she had given me. She was an expert puppy raiser, an outstanding advocate for peace, a magnificent maker of snow angels, and the best keeper of secrets on the planet. I cherish the lessons she came to teach and am forever grateful for the time we spent together.
